History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the British colonial period, Cameron Highlands became a favorite retreat due to its cooler climate, which was reminiscent of English summers. The region was developed into a hill station, with tea plantations established by the British and the growing of fresh produce. The influence of colonial architecture is still evident in several buildings and lodges across the highlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
